One day kayaking trip:
For our one day option we start from the old market town of Fuli and work our way to the ancient town of Puyi, which still remains undeveloped and unaffected by tourism. This part of the river will take around 2 to 3 hours. It is encompassed by karst scenery (limestone pinnacles,) and bamboo grooves. On the way you will view local fishermen going about their daily routine, farmers grazing and bathing water buffalo. Even local people taking produce on local passenger boats. The wildlife is also stunning from farm animals to dragon flies and butterflies skipping over the crystal clear water of the Li River. The river in this area is fairly slow moving although at certain points it picks up into light rapids. The tour is not too arduous and we will kayak at a relaxed pace. We have been running this tour now for eight years, we can arrange children’s buoyancy aids and the tour will be accompanied by a local bamboo motor boat (if you are 3 or more people). So at any time if the need to rest is required you could drift along at ease.

Two days kayaking trip--Camping + Caving + Fishing + Swimming + BBQ
We have also added a two day Kayaking adventure. This tour starts just outside Yangshuo bridge. We will start mid morning and work our way along the meandering Li river. We will view local life and wildlife. With an afternoon stop at the village of Liugong. This village was established in the Ming dynasty (600 years ago). It is a local village and we can even explore its riverside cave by torch light. After having a cold drink on the bank of the beautiful Li river we will continue to our overnight stop. We camp on a grassy island in the middle of the river. Setting up camp for the night in this picturesque area is amazing. After this you could relax reading a book into the early evening, take a swim or even join us for some fishing in the drifts of the river. Then for the evening meal we will have a barbeque, which will consist of local produce from the area, and if you are lucky your catch of fish from that evening (although in most cases our local boatman is always lucky.) The following day we board our kayaks after eating a cooked breakfast, local noodles and duck eggs supplied by the local farmers. Again downstream through the local area. The river begins to widen and we see the countryside change. We will eventually arrive at the ancient town of Puyi. We will have a while to explore and look into local food for lunch. Our final journey will take us towards Pingle county. The river here broadens and we get a glimpse of how mighty the Li river becomes. Bamboo grooves stretch up from the rolling hills. We end at the counties river side monastery.
Meals provided: First lunch in Fuli near the market, dinner and breakfast in the camp and lunch on the second day.
Services provided: Local River guide, back up boat, boatman. Kayaks, life vests, paddles, tents, roll mats, chairs, sun shade, cooking equipment, fishing kit, drinking water, and transport to and from your hotel.
Equipment needed: Light sleeping bag or blanket, camera, swimming clothes, towel, wash kit, torch, insect repellent, snacks, books, binoculars, soft drinks, change of clothes, sun cream, hat, waterproofs if raining. All this can be put into an overnight pack on the back up boat, which will accompany us.
